In his magnificent letter to the Romans, Paul spends 11 chapters setting out the problem of human sinfulness and the glorious solution which God has provided in the good news concerning his Son - what he calls 'the mercies of God'. He then moves on to a practical section in which he sets out, not only the kind of life the Christian should lead in response to the grace of God, but the kind of life which grace produces in the believer. The gospel transforms lives, and Paul shows us how.
